Information

Screen Tasmania is hosting the second Level Up Tasmania, a showcase of Tasmanian video games and game makers.

Level Up Tasmania is a 2-day expo aimed at promoting games that have been developed in the state or have had some level of significant Tasmanian contribution. It also aims to increase awareness of projects that are still in development, and showcase the level of work that is being achieved in Tasmania.

The event will be open to the public, and free to attend. The showcase will consist of approximately 30 exhibitors.

Level Up Tasmania is an all ages event, and games that include graphic or mature content must not showcase these elements. Screen Tasmania reserves the right not to accept a game on such grounds, or to place such games in a restricted area of the showcase.

Each exhibitor will receive a 182cm trestle table with at least 1 screen. Chairs for attendees will also be provided. If your game requires specific extra space or infrastructure (for VR or other peripherals), please provide details in the application form.

The exhibitor is required to provide the necessary hardware to run the game, including controllers and headphones where necessary, and PC or console to run the game.

Some signage will be provided with assets being requested once the applicant is successful.

The event will run at Princes Wharf 1 (PW1) in Hobart over two days:

  • Friday, 17 April 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday, 18 April 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Assessment Criteria

Exhibiting your game/studio at Level Up is free, but will be subject to assessment in the following criteria before being accepted:

  • The extent that you can attend both days and maintain your designated booth
  • The level of completion of the project and interactivity
  • The level of contribution the game has in promoting Tasmanian games and game makers
  • Content of the game and prospective/actual classification

For applicants with more than one game, please use the same SmartyGrants login details to submit additional application forms.

Please ensure you are familiar with the Screen Tasmania General Guidelines and Terms of Trade before continuing.

Please note that submission of this form does not guarantee selection for exhibition at Level Up Tasmania - Screen Tasmania will contact you to confirm, and will provide an additional submission form for delivery of assets and further information.

Applications are due end-of-day Sunday, 14 December 2025.
