Guidelines - Summary

The Industry Development program aims to develop the skills of Tasmanian screen practitioners, recognising that highly-skilled and experienced professionals are vital for the long-term growth of the screen industry in Tasmania.

SUMMARY

Funding is available for applicants to attend established Australian screen industry conferences and events. 

These events will be chosen at Screen Tasmania’s discretion each year with an invitation for applications being issued in the lead up to the event.

Being a successful recipient of Stream B - Conference Support will not count towards the overall cap applied to Stream A - Market Travel.

At a glance:

Funding support will be a SET AMOUNT determined by Screen Tasmania, based approximately on 50 per cent of the following expenses:

  • accommodation
  • airfares
  • any registration or entry fees
  • per diems
  • transfers

Screen Tasmania will NOT register your attendance on your behalf. Please read the following steps before applying for funding. If successful, you will:

  1.  be notified by email.
  2.  be required to send Screen Tasmania an invoice for a lump sum payment. 
  3.  if applicable - receive a special code to access your discount and payment for registration.
  4.  be required to use the code and payment to purchase your pass (Note: Screen Tasmania will not register on your behalf. You must do this yourself). 
  5.  be required to submit an Acquittal form detailing the outcomes of your experience at the Conference.

Screen Tasmania's Industry Development team reserves the right to vary these Guidelines and the right to set aside some or all of the requirements in exceptional circumstances.
