Screen - Production Support Round closing 8 September 2025

This program seeks to increase production activity in Tasmania in order to build industry sustainability, generate employment and increase revenue streams for production companies.

Production Support offers one-off grant or equity investment for the production of:

• feature length drama, comedy, animation or documentary
• television drama, comedy or animation (series, miniseries or telemovie)
• factual projects including documentary (series and stand-alone one-offs)
• short form narrative projects for online platforms
• video games and interactive projects seeking investment of $50,000 or more. (Please note for production support for games and interactive projects under $50,000, please see the Games Development program.)

Funding for other (non-mandatory) attachments may be available under Screen Tasmania's Traineeships and Attachments program.

Before you apply:

To be eligible to apply, applicants must consult the Production Support Guidelines, speak to Screen Tasmania's Production Investment and Support Manager, Emma Moroney to discuss their projects before submitting applications. Please email emma.moroney@screen.tas.gov.au to arrange an appointment.

All applicants must read the Production Support Guidelines and General Guidelines and Terms of Trade available before applying.

When using our online application portal (powered by SmartyGrants) please consider the following points:

• SmartyGrants autosaves your application when you change pages. We recommend manually saving regularly as you complete individual pages. The system will time out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
• You can save your incomplete application, log out and return to complete or update at any time before the Round closes.
• Questions marked with a red asterisk are mandatory. You will not be able to submit your application until they are answered.
• Once you press submit, the application will be locked and forwarded to Screen Tasmania and you will no longer be able to make changes. Should you have new information which was unavailable before the closing of the round you will need to contact the relevant Project Officer to re-open the application at their discretion.
• SmartyGrants is unable to read the information contained in uploaded documents. This is why, at times, you will be asked to provide similar information within the SmartyGrants form. This is so the data can be captured and processed.
