The Renewable Energy Dividend (RED) program provides a one-time payment of $60 for residential households who get their supply of electricity through an embedded network in Tasmania rather than via an authorised retailer (like Aurora Energy or 1st Energy). This includes caravan parks and retirement villages, where residents are billed separately for their electricity use.

If you receive your electricity bill from Aurora Energy, 1st Energy, Momentum, CovaU or Energy Locals, you do not need to apply through this form – your payment is automatically applied to your bill.

The program will open for applications at 2 pm on 2 June 2025 and remain open until 2 pm on 31 August 2025. No applications will be accepted after the closing date.

To receive the RED payment, you must:
• access electricity via an embedded network; and
• be currently residing on an embedded network as your principal place of residence.

Customers that do not receive an individually metered electricity supply (eg. a person renting a caravan sharing residential land and taking electricity from another connection), and as a result do not meet the definition of an embedded network for the Renewable Energy Dividend program are not eligible to apply.

For more information on the program, please read the program guidelines and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) carefully before starting your application at https://recfit.tas.gov.au/grants_programs/energy/residential_households_embedded_networks_rebates

Only one application per residential household on an embedded network is allowed under this program.

Applications submitted by a third party will not be accepted without evidence of permission in the application.

Please visit https://recfit.tas.gov.au/grants_programs/energy/residential_households_embedded_networks_rebates for any updates on the Renewable Energy Dividend program and the program guidelines before applying.

The RED application form contains further details about the requirements to be met to receive the payment. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all requirements outlined in the form are met, and that all parts of the application form are fully completed
