Residential Land Rebate

Program information

The Department of State Growth will be accepting applications for the Residential Land Rebate from 7 September 2021.

The $23.5 million program is a Tasmanian Government initiative to help boost the availability of residential land and improve housing availability.

Rebates of up to $10 000 per lot are available to developers to help cover the cost of power, water and sewerage infrastructure. This comprises $5 000 each for power infrastructure, and water and sewerage infrastructure. Rebates can be claimed for a maximum of 40 lots per developer.

The program is open until 30 June 2024, or once the program funds have been exhausted (whichever comes first).
